Meet our founder
Francis C. “Bubba” Bashaw, the branch manager and founder of Simplified Commercial Lending, oversees the daily branch operations in addition to teaching. Bubba has taught over 4,000 Realtors and loan officers on various aspects of real estate lending and guidelines for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA, Portfolio Lending, Commercial Lending, fix-and-flip, and ground-up construction.
Bubba Bashaw continues to research new loan programs and teach classes for Realtors and loan officers across the state of Texas.

Meet Sloan E. Bashaw
EJ Bermudez, was raised in Houston, TX. He graduated from St Thomas High School and attended the University of Texas at Austin before graduating Summa Cum Laude from UT Dallas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Natural Sciences, Psychology and Criminology. EJ has worked in Financial Services for over 3 decades with the last 25 years originating mortgage loans. During his tenure he has originated and closed thousands of home loans.
EJ has lived in north Texas for the past 30 plus years and is married with 4 children. He is ready to work with clients to help them finance their projects.
Outside of working, EJ enjoys spending his time fishing, repairing automobiles, completing home improvement projects and joining his wife and friends for offroad adventures.
Sloan Bashaw
Director of Operations
After years of attending mortgage lending classes alongside his father, Sloan Bashaw officially joined Simplified Commercial Lending in 2022. Since then, he has grown within the company and now serves as Director of Operations, where he plays a key role in guiding clients through the commercial lending process with precision and care.
Sloan believes that successful lending starts with understanding. By taking the time to fully assess a borrower’s current situation and long-term goals, he ensures that each loan is structured to not only meet expectations but exceed them.
Outside of commercial lending, Sloan is an avid outdoorsman and experienced fishing and hunting guide. He often compares lending to fishing—both require knowledge, patience, and strategy. Just as understanding tides, water temperatures, and moon phases leads to a successful day on the water, understanding a borrower’s unique needs leads to a successful lending experience.

Meet Drake Bashaw
Drake Bashaw ,25, was educated at St. Theresa of Lisieux, a private-Catholic school in Austin, Texas; and graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos with a triple minor in Business Administration, Policial Science and Communication studies.
Drake had the privilege of listening to and working with his father, Francis “Bubba” Bashaw in the mortgage industry throughout his entire life.
Drake is always ready to talk with clients and fit them with the right steps to achieving their real estate goals. Drake loves working with new investors and helping them begin their journey in the realm of real estate.
Outside of work Drake loves spending his time playing golf with his friends, and hanging out with his two dogs; Henry and Theo.

Meet Randy Meeks
Randy is a native Texas having been born and raised in Houston, Texas. He attended the University of Texas Austin and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance. He now resides in Austin, Texas.
Randy’s career spans decades in the financial services industry, holding several executive positions in banking and other financial services companies.
As a Mortgage Broker and Senior Lending Officer with Simplified Commercial Lending, he brings his knowledge to share with our customers, helping them formulate a plan for acquiring and accumulating real estate assets to create generational wealth and cash flow.

Meet Paige Bashaw
Paige Bashaw began her professional career with Simplified Commercial Lending, making it her first and only full-time position. She started as the assistant to the company’s Founder, where she quickly demonstrated a natural talent for loan processing and client coordination.
Through her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence, Paige advanced rapidly within the organization. Known for her exemplary communication skills, she ensures clients are consistently informed throughout the lending process. Her focus is always on efficiency and precision, with the ultimate goal of getting loans closed as quickly and smoothly as possible.
When asked how she progressed so quickly, Paige’s response was simple: “All you have to do is want it.”
Today, she serves as the operational hub of Simplified Commercial Lending. Loan Officers consistently value her speed, professionalism, and exceptional ability to multitask—all while keeping clients confident and informed every step of the way.
